Reporting to our Director of HR Capability and working closely with the senior leadership of the CIPD, this role will be primarily responsible for shaping the future and building the capability of the HR profession. This will be achieved by discovering new insights into the HR function, developing professional standards, incorporating market views, and building on collaborative research activity with external partners. Bridging the gap between the CIPD’s professional level qualifications and research teams, this role will drive HR development today and will be instrumental in what best practice will look like in the future.

This is a new role which provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with the HR community and its multiple stakeholders to build professional HR standards.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about HR and improving the capability of the profession. The role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a heavily-networked operating environment (building and developing both internal and external networks).

Candidates should be of postgraduate calibre with significant senior HR experience. With a clear understanding of the key issues facing HR, the job holder will have experience of leading and developing HR functions and high potential HR individuals along with the personal credibility to represent the Institute externally with senior HR and business leaders; a commercial, business focused approach is essential.
